When connecting to a server, your connection is assigned an IP address automatically. But what if you wanted to use a different IP address?
Without changing servers, you can refresh the IP address assigned to you by disconnecting and reconnecting to the same server. After reconnecting, you can verify the IP change with our "What is my IP Address?" tool (other third-party IP detection tools may be used for verification as well).
Although it is possible to get the same IP address after reconnecting to a server, it is unlikely. A brief waiting period of around 30 seconds before reconnecting will greatly increase the chances of getting a different IP address.
