VyprDNS is enabled by default within the VyprVPN app and you should leave this enabled as it offers the most robust cloaking of your online activity. VyprDNS is a no-log DNS service - while other DNS services may be able to track your online activity, VyprDNS does not.
To check to see if VyprDNS is selected, follow the instructions below for your respective platform.
VyprVPN for Windows
- Open VyprVPN and select Customize in the bottom-left corner.
- Tap DNS within the VPN Settings section.
- Tap VyprDNS. If VyprDNS is already selected, then you are already using VyprDNS.
- Tap the back arrow in the upper left of the menu options twice to return to the main screen of the app.
VyprVPN for Mac
- Open VyprVPN and select Customize in the bottom-left corner.
- Tap DNS within the VPN Settings section.
- Tap VyprDNS. If VyprDNS is already selected, then you are already using VyprDNS.
- Tap the back arrow in the upper left of the menu options twice to return to the main screen of the app.
VyprVPN for Android
- Open VyprVPN and select Customize in the bottom-left corner.
- Tap DNS within the VPN Settings section.
- Tap VyprDNS. If VyprDNS is already selected, then you are already using VyprDNS.

VyprVPN for iOS
When connected to our VPN servers using our VyprVPN for iOS app, you will always be using VyprDNS.
VyprVPN for Amazon Fire Stick/Android TV
- Open VyprVPN and select Customize in the bottom-left corner.
- Tap DNS within the VPN Settings section.
- Tap VyprDNS. If VyprDNS is already selected, then you are already using VyprDNS.
- Tap the back arrow in the upper left of the menu options twice to return to the main screen of the app.
