There are times when you will receive a prompt when you are connected with VyprVPN and try to either quit the app, reboot, or even shut down your Mac. Illustrated below are such prompts and an explanation of why you are seeing them.
If you are connected and try to quit the app you will receive the alert below.
"Quitting VyprVPN will terminate your VPN connection. Do you wish to continue?"
This alert is intended to remind you that your internet connection will no longer be encrypted. There is no way to disable it from popping up, and you will need to confirm if you wish to continue or not before the app will close.
If you are connected, and have the Kill Switch feature enabled at the system level and try to quit the app you will receive the alert below.
"If you quit, VyprVPN will disconnect and Kill Switch will continue to stop internet traffic. Do you want to quit?"
This alert is intended to remind you that your internet connection will be disabled by the Kill Switch after the application quits. There is no way to disable it from popping up, and you will need to confirm if you wish to continue or not before the app will close.
If you are connected and have the Kill Switch feature enabled at the system level and have the "Stop all LAN traffic when Kill Switch is active" option selected while trying to quit the app you will receive the alert below.
"If you quit, VyprVPN will disconnect and Kill Switch will continue to stop internet and LAN traffic. Do you want to quit?"
This alert is intended to remind you that your internet connection and all LAN access will be disabled by the Kill Switch after the application quits. There is no way to disable it from popping up, and you will need to confirm if you wish to continue or not before the app will close.
If you are connected and go to reboot your Mac you will receive the alert below.
"Are you sure you want to restart your computer now?"
This alert is intended to give you 60 seconds to determine if you really wish to restart. This is also the time when you will need to go ahead and disconnect from VyprVPN. If not disconnected by the end of the timer, you will receive one of the prompts previously illustrated and the Mac will not reboot.
If you are connected and go to shut down your Mac you will receive the alert below.
"Are you sure you want to shut down your computer now?"
This alert is intended to give you 60 seconds to determine if you really wish to shut down. This is also the time when you will need to go ahead and disconnect from VyprVPN. If not disconnected by the end of the timer, you will receive one of the prompts previously illustrated and the Mac will not shut down.
