What's New in VyprVPN 6.0?

Check out the new Quality-of-Life features in VyprVPN 6.0! Enjoy the new VyprVPN app on Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS.

• Users can now change the Connection Type from the Home screen. Simply select You're Using Advanced Mode or You're Using Quick Connect Mode to change your connection type.
  • Use Advanced Mode to select specific server locations. Use Quick Connect Mode to select a geographic region and let VyprVPN select the best server to connect to.

• Starting with VyprVPN 6.0, we'll display a notification banner at the top of VyprVPN to notify users of any important VyprVPN news. Select the "X" to close the notification after reading.

• Similarly, beginning with VyprVPN 6.0 we will be able to display an icon next to servers in the list of Locations to indicate when certain servers may be experiencing issues:
  • Degraded: A server will display with a yellow triangle to indicate when the server is in a degraded state. You can still attempt to connect to this server, but your connection experience may be suboptimal. 
    In the screenshot below, New York is shown as Degraded.
  • Critical: A server will display with a red icon to indicate when the server is in a critical state. You can still attempt to connect to this server, but your connection attempt is unlikely to work, and successful connections may be slow or unreliable until the issue with the server has been resolved. 
    In the screenshot below, Chicago is shown as Critical.
