If you cannot send email via your email client software while connected to VyprVPN, please attempt to resolve this issue using the solutions below:
Solution 1: Change to Port 587 for outgoing mail (SMTP)
In order to prevent spam activity on our network, we have enabled a block on SMTP port 25. We have made exceptions for select authenticated email providers, such as Gmail and Yahoo.
To learn how to change settings in your email client, please consult the support knowledge base for your email client software.
Solution 2: Use Web-based Email
Email administrators often restrict access to their mail servers to their own IP address ranges, or they may block IP addresses known to belong to VPNs. This may prevent you from being able to send or receive email through email clients, such as Outlook, MacMail, or Mozilla Thunderbird.
While access to the mail servers may be blocked, access to your email's webmail interface is often still available while connected to VyprVPN. If you can access webmail while connected to VyprVPN, sending and receiving mail will usually work there.
If you aren't sure how to access your email address's webmail interface, please contact the support department for your email provider.
If you need any further assistance, please contact our 24/7 Customer Success Team, who would be glad to assist.
